Uruguay is home to the Shakers, Dias de Blues, Hojas, El Kinto, Los Mockers, El Syndikato & Totem, and yet somehow the musicians felt overshadowed by the tropicalia & beat scenes happening in neighboring Brazil & Argentina. Dino set out to rectify this by fusing US/UK rock/pop with local rhythms (much like tropicalia) & overtly political lyrics. His sound is nearly as lilting as Eduardo Mateo's, but with some excellent Beatlesy sixties guitar moves sewn in. It all comes off pretty much like those great lowlight moments of a good War record, with some breakdowns for intimate singing & hand drums. 7 bonus tracks. Tracklisting: Milonga de Pelo Largo, Para Hacer Musica Para Hacer, Pongamos Muchas Balas al Fusil, Si Te Vas, Montevideo Blues, Hermano Americano, Sentimiento, Un Color, Charmarrita el Chiquero, Hay Veces/Canta Canta Canta, Que Dira El Santo Padre, Sendero de Rosas, Rubio es el Color, Deja esa Vieja Tristeza, 19 de Octobre, Hay Veces, Canta Canta Canta.
