Free & windy goofing around on horns that smear & burble, woodworking machinery running unattended. And then, for unknown reasons, the drug-addled singer for Les Playboys shows up & reads a tense poem over an immobile, uneasy base line. Just about the time the song should explode, they stop instead & go back to shuffling around in an attic & abusing a violin. Eventually, they discover reverb, & it gets even freakier. Trumpeter Berrocal hung out with everyone from Steven Stapleton to James Chance to French progsters in the late 70s.
