New York avant garde art world supergroup that never was, and of course it comes on a tiny, overly expensive edition. Unreleased practice tapes from Angus MacLise's personal collection. Released to celebrate a gallery exhibit about MacLise. Jack Smith tells a drag queen story over barely-audible faux Indian music. The flip has sinewy lines on double-reed eastern horns, lots of whoosh, and tablas in the background. Speed is a little iffy (tapes were likely in less than perfect shape), so it'll help if you have pitch control on your turntable. Insert is a little paper pamphlet (clearly cut with scissors by hand) that reproduces Smith's story.
