Some sort of east coast version of VD Parks/Tim Hardin/Randy Newman orchestrated folk/jazz, and with what are clearly supposed to be biting lyrics but aren't quite. Unusual string & horn arrangements though & the record occasionally cranks up for full on twin fuzz guitar heavy psych bombs too. Holmes' first album (this one's his 2nd) sports the original version of 'Dazed & Confused' & he also wrote jingles including 70s classics like Sure deodorant's 'Raise Your Hand If You're Sure', Dr. Pepper's 'Be a Pepper' and 'Be All You Can Be' for the Army.
