Those who've checked out some mid-70s Gainsbourg will enjoy, as this record is bascially a rework of the funky string arrangements of 'Melody Nelson'/'Jane et Serge'/'Je T'Aime Moi Non Plus'. Drums are spare but uniquely produced. Vocals are, no suprise, extremely breathy. However, especially on 'Les Langues de Chat' Jane proves that she can hit notes just fine when she feels like it. 70s piano/acoustic guitar lying all around the latticework, clearly stolen from egregious US radio hits. And that last part makes this an especially good one to give out to your pals who think your music taste is too difficult. Tracklisting: Di Doo Dah, Help Camionneur, Encore Lui, Puisque Je Te Le Dis, Les Capotes Anglaises, Leur Plaisir Sans Moi, Mon Amour Baiser, Banana Boat, Kawasaki, La Cible Qui Bouge, La Baigneuse de Brighton, C'est La Vie Qui Veut Ca, La Decadanse, Les Langues de Chat.
