BLO members began in bands with Joni Haastrup & Geraldo Pino before the Nigerian civil war in the late 60s, and they toured as members of Ginger Baker's band right before stepping out on their own. 3rd album, and 10 seconds of it will douse any doubts you might have over growing westernisms or the absence of bass player Mike Odumosu (who left to be in Osibisa). English lyrics, trap drums, totally crippling wah-drenched guitar solos, funkyass organ, and one song that steals it's riff from Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' ('Rhythm of Love').
