Aka the Sheik of the Shake. Right after Willis moved to Atlantic, he immediately started hitting the charts with songs like 'CC Rider'- a song he totally owned until Mitch Ryder came along ten years later (it's here, and it's the song you're supposed to do the stroll to). Willis was known for wearing a turban everywhere, and he supposedly nipped the idea from Rudy Ray Moore (that's what Moore says anyhow). Unfortunately, Willis died of a stomach ulcer about two singles after this record came out. His death was so sudden that people speculated he had had brain surgery & was using the turban to hide scars. Tracklisting: Betty and Dupree, That Train is Gone, Love Me Cherry, Juanita, It's Too Late, CC Rider, My Life, Whatcha Gonna Do When Your Baby Leaves You, Kansas City woman, There's Got to Be a Way, Ease the Pain, Thunder and Lightning, My Crying Eyes.
