Nakamura's no-input mixing board was one of the architects of the little fashion for tinnitus-inducing sine waves in the 90s. He's gotten more subtle & varied in the intervening years, and it's nice to see a solo record from him. Though there are still some tones that hum like old boiler room basements, he doesn't seem to be out to give you a headache here. Still one of the few artists you can listen to in spite of loud background noise (traffic, for example) as the frequencies just sail around anything that's in the way.
