At the end of a tour in Europe & always looking for the new Birmingham, Ra rather hastily decided that the 16 person Arkestra ought to go to Egypt. The band didn't have any bookings scheduled, nor the money for plane fare. Their instruments were seized by customs, just a scraggly few people showed up for a couple of shows they scraped together, and everyone in the band knew they'd probably have to sell something to get the money to get home. They borrowed horns by way of Salah Rageb, Ra managed to keep track of his moog, and then... blast off. The band plays like they're some sort of divine envoy. Ra squeezes the moog like he wants to strangle it, the brass section shifts like desert sand under the wind, and June Tyson cuts through like an angel with directions. Give thanks to the tape recorders for saving this one. Tracklisting: Theme of the Star Gazers, Discipline #2, The Shadow World, Enlightenment, Love In Outer Space, Third Planet, Space Is the Place, Horizon, Discipline #8, We'll Wait For You, The Satellites Are Spinning.
