Alan Bishop of the Sun City Girls. Last time this was around I named it my favorite record of the last five years. Guess I'll have to make it ten or twelve then. Vocal overdubs galore, whizbang acoustic solos, and plenty of savage imagery. There's also that harmonic control that you can generally only get from Mingus or Morricone. Eyvind Kang, Tim Young, Richard Bishop, Andrew McGinnis and Randall Dunn all help out. Cover from the theme to Andy Warhol's "Dracula", the best of the Morricone covers that later turned into 'Baroque Primitiva', as well as a version of "Shenandoah" that, unless your mind is made of meat, ought to make you weep like a little baby. Some folks walk in the underworld so you don't have to go yourself. Now get the songs about the soiled & shady souls from the nether regions. Tracklisting: Evil Next to Blue, Mr. 786, Slim 293, Demon 360, Dracula Frizzi, Dirty Angels, Ballad of Colonel Fawcett, Sometimes Like a Man, Missy Undertaker, The Feel, Shenandoah
