Karaca's 1st album under his own name compiles singles from his two previous Turkish-language rock bands, Apaslar (which means 'The Apaches', after the Shadows hit 'Apache') & the heavier Kardaslar (which means 'Brothers'). The previous year Karaca had recorded with both Dervisan & Mogollar, but leader Cahit Berkay wanted Mogollar to hit in Europe & promptly packed his band off for France. Cem stayed home. Dervisan was a somewhat more political project, and as it continued it landed Karaca in hot water, resulting in him fleeing to Germany & having a warrant out for his arrest for several years starting in the late 70s. Rather folky compared to Baris Manco or Erkin Koray, but there's still lots of snakey Anatolian melodies.
