Freak-faced twins who answer the burning musical question 'What if the Everly Brothers had been born retarded?'. Jack Pleis & Owen Bradley provide snap-heavy & swingin production while the 'kids' (who were already in their late 20s & preferred Tony Bennett & Perry Como to teenybop rockabilly) provide some square & tighty-white harmony vox. The fact that the twins didn't care for rock & roll much allowed them to make some mystifying decisions, proabably best exemplified by the WTF lyrics to 'Chicken Thief'. After their hits dried up, they took a turn running a song-poem music company for about a year, but it quickly went under because whenever they thought the lyrics weren't up to snuff, they mailed them back to the author.
