The annual Berlin avant music festival 'Inventionen' has now been running for 30 years, so they've been compiling some of the performances into sets now & again. One disc is all pieces by Ricardo Mandolini, an Argentinian who moved to Cologne in the mid 70s & started making EMS & early digital synth gurglings. The other disc is quieter & ranges from pastoral piano to computers made to work like harps, or cutups of clinking glasses. Oddly, the dvd has no visuals whatsoever (I guess it's tape pieces, after all, so it's not like there's underwear throwing from the audience), but contains audio with a still credit sequence to let you know which cut you're on.
