Here's the real good news, brother. Americans weren't the only ones fool enough to go see 'Hair' or 'Up With People' and then decide to start up hip churches during the 1970s. Waspy white people as far away as Norway were just as taken with trying to turn young ungodly frowns upsidedown. And just like in the States, most of the Christian rock/folk records the movement produced were awful. A select few however made funky jazz breaks & did their best Serge Gainsbourg impressions, or got some girl who could sing kinda like Sandy Denny. Others spent way too much time freaking out on Wings records, or hired big horn sections to play soul ballads. Creamy smooth, but far from slick, and the lack of English lyrics makes getting the spirit that much easier. Tracklisting: Joyful Singers-Kort Appell, Good News-Kom Synder til Herren, That's Why-Dyp Av Nade, That's Why-Kom, Arnold Borud-Hor en Lignelse, Keryx-Salme 150, Angelos-Rosenrode Briller, Crossing-Mennesket Og Lyset, Sky Sing-Herre Over Alle Slekter, Heralds-Gud Har Inga Pengar, Kari Hansa & Gregers Hes-Misforstaelse, Soli Deo-No Smoking, Reflex-Freist.
