Beautifully orchestrated soul, drenched in echo. An Ohio band who sported the arranger of Isaac Hayes' 'Hot Buttered Soul' (Dale Warren) in their ranks & put their 1st out during the last gasps of Al Bell's Stax records. It sold badly, is NOT included here, & the entire band quit during the fallout afterwards. Warren responded by hiring a completely new band, mostly from Chicago, & sending them on tour, where they learned the songs & picked up members along the way. Upon returning home, Warren picked up some soundtrack work & they all started in on this 2nd lp together, but money problems quickly led to the same thing all over again & it was never released until now. Tracklisting: The Best of Good Love Gone, I Want to Make Up, I Don't Love You, I'll Never Let You Go, Gone the Promises of Yesterday, I Begin to Weep.
