Unaccompanied singing, tibetan bowls, & field recordings from mountainsides & rivers high in the Himalayas. Bokar Rinpoche was the chief Kalacakra lineage holder & a senior tutor to His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa (who is currently 22 years old & in exile from Tibet). Rinpoche (whose other name was Karma Shedrup Yongdu Pel Zangpo) was recognized at the age of four by the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa as the reincarnation of the previous Bokar Rinpoche. Rimpoche trained at the monastery founded by the previous Rimpoche & founded his own Kalachakra retreat in 1986 in Mirik, India. He died in 2004 during a car trip on the way to a doctor checkup & the beginning of his 7-week-long funerary ritual offerings were performed en route home, some of them by cell phone. A rainbow around the sun is said to have appeared near the Mirik monastery the next day. The next Bokar Rimpoche has not yet been discovered/declared.
