West coasty electric psych with mellotron, flute, decently snappy rhythm section & Smith's nicely weaving melodies. Smith was a country musician who more freqently performed under the name Buck. All through the 80s & early 90s, collectors speculated on who Smith might actually be, & theories included that he was really Garret Lund or even Thomas Pynchon! Daryl Dragon (aka the terrifying Captain of Captain & Tennille) & a Zappa sideman appear, but don't screw up anything. Tracklisting: Please, Don't Tell Lady Tonight, Constructive Critique, Ocean Song, The Wishing Song, Can You Jump Rope, Latter Days Matter, India Slumber, Source You Blues, Sunlight Sweet, Of She Of Things, Mobeda Dandelions, The Path Does Have Forks, Try Try to Understand Yourself.
