A real cornerstone of the acid folk boom, this reish features dental hygenist Linda's wonderfully melancholy vocals, overdubbed until they rain down like a waterfall. I do think this album is a bit of a grower and might not hit everybody immediately, but it's delicacy does blossom further upon many listens. And I think it's likable even for those who have no taste for Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Espers, Fursaxa, etc. 6 string, 12 string, a bit of flute & electric bass, and Shelly Manne on drums! 8 bonus tracks. Tracklisting: Chimacum Rain, Paper Mountain Man, Dolphin, Call of the River, Sandy Toes, Parallelograms, Hey Who Really Cares, Moon and Cattails, Morning Colors, Porcelain Baked Cast Iron Wedding, Delicious, If You Were My Man, If You Were My Man, Hey Who Really Cares, Chimacum Rain, Spoken Intro to Leonard Rosenman, Chimacum Rain, BBC Interview, I Would Rather Love.
