Demo tapes & outtakes of their best album. Laghonia was the only Peruvian psych band that used a Hammond when they played live. Their sound has the candied jingle of softpop but also a terrific dark swish from that organ. Like all South American bands from this time, there's a lot owed to early solo McCartney, and also some lush Left Bank-type harmonies. In fact, even though the metaphor doesn't hold very tightly, I always think of this album as the South American "Pet Sounds" or perhaps "Sunflower". The album was lyrically inspired by an article in Time magazine about the new American craze of glue-sniffing. Most of the outtakes here are instrumental versions, but it's great to hear them alone. The recording studio was far more pro than I'd previously realized. Two completely unreleased tracks too.
