Couple of Stockhausen assitants/students get together because they're all interested in hippie underground nonsense that's a little looser than academia usually allows. One of them knows a guy (Michael Karoli) who's really into the Beatles' 'I Am the Walrus', and this seems fascinating. The underground film industry is hopping & wants music freaks, so they get a job working on a flick via some avant-theater connections, even incorporating vocals by the movie's female lead actress (and her song is pure & grand Bardot-inspired pop). Somehow, this leads to recordings of proto-prog-jazz, and voila, the band Can & krautrock are born. Holger Czukay, Jaki Leibezeit, Irmin Schmidt. Tracklisting: Agilok and Blubbo, Es Zieht Herauf, Dialog Zwischen Birken, Michele Ist Da, Mama Mama, Kamerasong, Zwischen Dem Baumen, Zwiege und Sonne, Revolutionslied, Der Letzte Brief, Probleme, Flop Pop, Apokalypse.
