Soundtrack to a mondo film that was a partly faked documentary. The visuals were a collage of titillating stock footage, put together as a sort of schlock travelogue for swinging London, with interviews of mods, rockers & strippers. Shots of babies being born, cars crashing, chickens dying, re-enactments of wife swapping, etc. Usually a flick like this would be accompanied by trashy R&B or Italian lounge, but in this case, it's by the thick, sliding orchestral whines of avant library composer Basil. Flip side has a cop thriller soundtrack from a bit later, with the odd juxtaposition of string drone & free sax that makes Kirchin's more famous 'Quantum' so striking. Tracklisting: Primitive London 1, Primitive London 2, Primitive London 3, Primitive London 4, Primitive London 5, Primitive London 6, The Freelance, The Freelance, The Freelance, The Freelance.
