Cast as an elephant driver in the UK documentary 'Elephant Boy', Sabu was suddenly transformed from a barefoot South Indian kid into a pre-WWII child character actor. Most of his acting work cashed in on a Rudyard Kipling exoticism of one sort or another, and that's how he got the voice jobs here. Soundtracks by Miklos Rozsa (Ben Hur) & Brian Easdale (The Red Shoes, Peeping Tom) are comfy velvet drapery. During WWII, Sabu moved to the US & became an Air Force pilot, but his acting career never really recovered after the war ended. Tracklisting: The Laws of the Jungle, All the Animals Were My Friends, Shere Khan My Sworn Enemy, The Song of the Jungle/Save Us Mowgli, Stalking Shere Khan, Shere Khan Is Dead, The Harbor of Basra, The Royal Procession, Eternal Love, Flying Horse, Silvermaid's Dance, The Marketplace of Basra, Prologue, Aiya, Kanchi's Dance, Composed Sequence, Farewell.
