Not to be confused with the British session guitarist. This Jim Sullivan was a down & out Los Angeles singer-songwriter in leather fringe. He played at all the bars and hobnobbed with not-quite-famouses, and eventually one of them (a cue-card holder from 'Laugh In') decided to give him the money to make an album. Wrecking Crew session players were duly hired and bass player Jimmy Bond (who had a long, star-studded jazz background & refused to go electric) did the horn arrangements. Sullivan made a few tv appearances, & was even an extra in 'Easy Rider'. Bummer country album that fans of David Crosby's 'If I Could Only Remember My Name' will slide into just like their boots. Sullivan's vaguely mystical lyrics ended up having darker portent after he disappeared in the middle of New Mexico in 1975. Tracklisting: Jerome, Plain As Your Eyes Can See, Roll Back the Time, Whistle Stop, Rosey, Highways, UFO, So Natural, Johnny, Sandman.
