Recorded right after 'Free Jazz', and it basically turns the double quartet inside out, giving each sideman an abnormally long chunk of time to lead/solo. Performers are really bursting from their own excitement. Coleman's tone twinkles like a stickpin. The rhythm section really blazes as well, with long fascinating solos from Blackwell & LaFaro (who died right before the record was released) jumping around here & bowing solemly there.
