After his 'He Doesn't Like It' album flopped, Chess tried once more to connect Chester Burnett, recovering from his 2nd heart attack & not especially long for this world, with hippies. No Pete Cosey this time, but one of the many riveting moments in Monsieur Wolf's catalog can be found in the spoken title track. Burnett softly growls, like a downs-syndrome version of Captain Beefheart, and points out that the kids are confused, but it's okay if they wear their hair long, cause he's still in their corner. Tracklisting: If I Were a Bird, I Smell a Rat, Miss James, Message to the Young, She's Looking Good, Just as Long, Romance Without Finance, Turn Me On.
