Aka Wanda Sa. Sunny, soft & breezy bossa from this original singer for Brasil '65, who was invited to the US to record a solo album in the wake of Astrud Gilberto's sudden fame. Lighter in tone & on pitch (Astrud, after all, was just Joao's wife hanging out in the studio), Wanda got her first bossa hit at age 19. When this album didn't storm the charts, she toured a bit with Sergio Mendez & went back to Brazil, where she ended up marrying her favorite guitar hero Edu Lobo.
