Hot New Orleans player & growling preacher Utah Smith could read no book other than the Bible, but he got himself an electric guitar as early as the late 30s & wowed the crowds with it in every tent. Smith also wore huge white wings, and at least sometimes played while being hung by a pulley from the ceiling so he could fly through the air dropping licks on the audience. Little biographical info has been available about him until recently, and there are 5 previously unknown cuts included here.
