ATV could've been a slightly darker answer to the Buzzcocks, but almost immediately they began to implode under the headstrong cantankerousness that made them want to hang out with London 70s punks in the first place. Their first album throws in a bit of moog, faux classical piano, a Zappa cover, and only one 'song' ('Action Time Vision'). However, there are a few hints of the taut, repetetive, bass-heavy grooves that will make their 2nd, 'Vibing Up the Senile Man' so fascinating.
