Their best, and it sure is a doozy. Shinki Chen met Joey Smith of Juan de la Cruz playing at a mall & recruited him to drum behind his Hendrix excess. Chen's A&R guy suggested the bass player of the Golden Cups join too, which makes this a stoner-boogie supergroup of the highest order. And they wail like the sick-brained drugged-out scraggly fuckups they are for 3/4s of this record. Smith's drumming, as always, sounds like an overturned cart of watermelons, the guitar is heavy as shit, and there's lots of lyrics about glue sniffing. Everything takes an unexpected left turn when Smith takes a 12 minute solo on moog bombs, which apparently happened because he left town (back to the Philippines) & it was all they had left! Tracklisting: Sniffin & Snortin Pt. 1, Run and Hide, Bad Woman, Red Doll, Flat Fret Swing, Sniffin & Snortin Pt. 2, Don't Say No, Calm Down, Doodle Song, Search for Love, Chuppy, Wanna Take You Home, Sun/Planets/Life/Moon, Song for an Angel.
