Piano/fuzz duets. I could go on all day about how Waterhouse & Cho are refreshing social superheroes, as they seem like the only people in all of NYC who don't act like New Yorkers. And their personality really shows through on their records. Cho lays down mid-tempo rhythms that churn like a water-wheel on unaffected piano. Which seems like a pretty good idea, except that it unfortunately means that your record has to fight off the evil mental spectre of Vince Guaraldi. Man if that isn't a tough load to haul, but they get there. The guitar leads that set off in opposite directions help reclaim & make everything feel new.
