Gustafsson announced himself into most people's heads with this one. Those big baritone pops & the fluteophone (alto mouthpiece stuck in a flute) shoulda been stupid party tricks, but turned out to have fully developed languages. Extended techniques cubed & rabbit fast thinking all combined for explosive playing. Michael Zerang proved to be quite the firecracker as a drumming partner too. Gene Coleman & Jim O'Rourke appear on the last few tracks.
