There's enough hype swirling over most basement psych reissues to suffocate anybody without a gas mask, but this one really delivers the zonked-out fog that most promise. Melancholy, dreamy & even folky at times, with acoustic & slide appearing alongside electric guitar, & the worst-recorded cymbal wash you'll ever encounter. But while the crud-echo sound continues, the band suddenly drops into full on cape-wearing, sunglasses-sparkling, platform-boot-kicking stoner-riff glamour, with organ & some sort of synth that members obviously barely knew how to use.
