Not Dolemite's first album (as is commonly thought), but definitely the manifesto at the start of a long career of blue party records, blaxploitation films, & even some straight r&b singing on the side. Backed by a Vegas-y horn band called the Fillmore St. Soul Rebellion, Rudy proto-raps, goofs on audience members, strings tall tales, & so on. Early in 2008, Dolemite and Blowfly appeared on a record together for the very first time.
