Turner struts across 1950s Memphis like a goddamn boss. He could play boogie piano as easily as brain-melting R&B guitar. He put together/produced most of the sessions he played on & was the A&R guy for Modern Records' Bihari Brothers even while releasing singles on Chess at the same time. He played on the famed 'Rocket 88' at Sam Phillips studio before it was even named Sun. And it's easy to hear why everybody loves him- he convinced his tenor sax player to take up singing for the incendiary growler 'Tired of Begging'. Turner's guitar breaks into the song like an electroencephalogram. Tracklisting: My Real Gone Rocket, I Ain't Drunk, Gypsy Blues, Nobody Seems to Want Me, I'm Tired of Begging, Peg Leg Woman, Suffocate, Just One More Time, My Baby's Tops, The Big Question, Would You Rather, Calling Your Name, Ain't Got No Home, Ho Ho.
