The one & only Hig was once a truck driver who lived in Jersey and wanted to get Nashville & NYC musicians to record his songs. He pressed this record as a demo in order to sell them. Bleak lyrics, tuneless monotone "singing", unsurpassed rhythmic disasters. Cover photo also makes the poor man (who is still around) look light he might break down and cry any second. Most oddly of all, Higney somehow bumped into Johnny Thunders & Genya Ravan during the late 70s, hung around a bit at Max's Kansas City & CBGBs and wrote an incomprehensibly bizarre song about the nascent punk rock scene there. Can't imagine how badly my life would've turned out without this classic outsider record. Tracklisting: Night Rider, Children of Sound, Rock Star, Can't Love That Woman, Look at the River, Quietly Leave Me, Let Us Pray, I'll Cry Tomorrow, No Heavy Trucking.
