Heavy psych from India, by one of the precious few groups to form outside of the Bollywood film industry. Compilation that switches uneasily between both of the band's very different albums, one of mucilaginous hard rock with bouts of deeply overblown fuzz & one of disco-tinged synthfunk covers, plus a couple of bonus unreleased cuts. Odd notes that go from calling the owner of Academy Records a dilettante (I'd say without him, the Now Again fellas never would have heard of Atomic Forest in the first place), to describing the leader of the band Keith Kanga as someone who lived with his Grandmother "and her dirty dog Foo Foo in a ten foot by ten foot bed." Most interesting tidbit is that the CBC band from Vietnam borrowed equipment from Kanga while coming through Bombay on tour, and ended up bringing lead singer Madhu to the USA. Tracklisting: Obsession 77, Locomotive Breath, Mary Long, Sunshine Day, I Saw Her Standing There/Rock N Roll Music Medley, Obsession 77, Butterfl Version, Theme from the Godfather, Windmills of Your Mind, Theme From the Fox, Butterfly Version, Booboo Lullaby, Man You're Not Number One, Travel On, Jeff Beck Excerpt, Gethsemane, Foxy Lady.
