Though leader Clive Palmer would soon leave for wandering around Afghanistan & India, he stayed long enough to name the band after his little all night Glaswegian folk club. Palmer's brief tutelage also ensured that no matter how many eastern or novelty instruments, exotic scales or funny stories the ISB incorporated, they would always weave them in as tightly as possible, gaining delicacy through strength of conviction/virtuosity. Banjo, kazoo, mandolin, fiddle, whistle, & three beautifully airy voices stacked up together. Their first. Tracklisting: Maybe Someday, October Song, When the Music Starts to Play, Schaffer's Jig, Womankind, The Tree, Whistle Tune, Dandelion Blues, How Happy I Am, Empty Pocket Blues, Smoke Shovelling Song, Can't Keep Me Here, Good As Gone, Footsteps of the Heron, Niggertown, Everything's Fine Right Now.
