Boris Karloff is an elderly hypnotist with a drab house & repressed wife. However, he's built a pink blinking light board & hooked it up to an old slide projector & a reel to reel machine. Karloff bumps into a bored hipster, who is running around London declaring that fuzz guitars & lava lamps are oh-so last week. The old man & wife hook the swaggering kid up and start controlling his mind, causing pillage, skinny dipping, murder & all other sorts of berzerkdom. A fine garage band seen in the dance sequences (Lee Grant & the Capitols). And some wonderful sound effects whenever something goes wonky (by Paul Ferris, who also did some work for DeWolfe). The director went on to do 'Witchfinder General' before ODing. 122 minutes.dvdr
