Also known as the 1st Prestige album. Moondog's japanese wife (whose real name was Mary, not Suzuko or Sakura), wooden triangle invention (called the 'Oo'), fugues/rounds, & christ/viking outfits are all already in place. The sound of Moondog is basically melancholy tooting over maracas, but the tight-loose Bo Diddley rhythms & homemade outdoorsy recorder sounds make it all about as impossible to dislike as cocoa with a fireplace. There's also some rough sound effects of frogs, 50s Manhattan traffic (definitely my favorite decade for car sfx), a tap dancer, & a baby (Moondog's 1st daughter, no less, who is hopefully benefiting from the sample that was in a Lincoln car commercial in '03). Tracklisting: Caribea, Lullaby, Tree Trail, Death When You Come To Me, Big Cat, Frog Bog, To a Sea Horse, Dance Rehearsal, Surf Session Part 1, Surf Session Part 2, Surf Session Part 3, Trees Against the Sky, Tap Dance, Oo Debut, Drum Suite, Street Scene.
