Korean rock godfather who's most notable these days for his completely ridiculous cover of 'Inna Gadda Da Vida' (resihed on a Beatball lp). His career ran from the end of the Korean war until the militarization movement by South Korean president Park Chung Hee in the mid-70s. He was in a beat band called Add 4 (which partly spawned He 5 & He 6), and his band under his own name backed loads of female pop singers. Korean rock history runs pretty closely alongside the Tokyo scene, so this record starts out with some popfuzz moves that could almost be GS (except they're not nearly hyper enough). Before long though, Shin & pals stretch out into a sidelong organ mindbender with oboe and wahzoo extreme.
