Nothing starts the heavy panting and the pink spotlights spinning faster than those three delectable little words: Italian library music. The orchestra/studio system/hit factory was well entrenched in Rome throughout the 60s, and the competing RAI & RCA studios employed what seems like a kazillion highly skilled musicians full time. Side forays into jazz or avant-something weren't uncommon. Many inventive composers dipped into the lucrative library recording markets for insta-jazz-lounge and psych-funk-schmaltz. Amedeo Tommasi (piano) & Piero Montanari (bass) were in a jazz band together in the 70s. Tommasi was also the electric pianist for Ennio Morricone during the 80s. Il Maestro's famous whistler, Alessandro Alessandroni, also shows off his arranging chops here. Moody fuzzy breaks & mouthwatering rarities, compiled by Italian DJ Alessandro Casella. Tracklisting: Sandro Brugnolini-Megattera, Roberto Conrado-Omnifarius, Piero Montanari-Save Up, Luigi Lopez-Spleen, Oronzo de Filippi-Magia, Roberto Conrado-Acromatic, Roberto Conrado/Piero Montanari-Ready Money, Amedeo Minghi-Lustful, Roberto Conrado-Pledge, Sandro Brugnolini-Marsuino, Emma de Angelis-Trip, Sandro Brugnolini-Orca, Roberto Conrado-Ticklish, Oronzo de Filippi-Castello Stregato, Sandro Brunolini-Lamantino, Amedeo Tommasi-La Via Della Droga, Roberto Conrado/Piero Montanari-Likewise, Sandro Brugnolini-Stenella Dubia, Pasquale Castiglione/Casa Paolo-Chase, Sandro Brugnolini-Balenottera, Alessandro Alessandroni-Asincronia, Sandro Brugnolini-Globicefalo, Amedeo Tommasi-Suspence Magico No 1, Gerardo Iacoucci-Tradimento, Alessandro Alessandroni/Sorgini Guiliano-Overcraft, Franco Bracardi/Giogio Bracardi-Lo Strangolatore di Boston.
