Jazzfunk by Johannesburg drummer who started playing with Johnny Dyani in the 1950s. Khoza was the mother hen in the house band at the Pelican Club in Soweto, and the title track to this record was the band's signature song. Released by the As-shams label/shop (best known for discovering Dollar Brand), which flouted integrated shopping & musicmaking throughout apartheid. Recorded mere months after the Soweto riots which are now marked as 'youth day' on the South African calendar. Tracklisting: Chapita, Zumbwe, African Jive, Lilongwe, WD 46 Mendi Road.
