It's sometimes tough to remember (unless you're really into Vanilla Fudge or something), that there was a point when Cream/Hendrix heavy blasts, tuff R&B, slow moody freakout ballads with strings & yummy bubblegum were often expected from a single band. The Human Beinz ended up juggling too many personalities to capitalize on their popularity, but it's that same hodgepodge of hard fuzz, tamborine melodies & fun covers that makes them so likeable many years later. Like the Monkees, Walker Brothers, Ventures, etc., they had a large following in Japan. So they toured there before breaking up, resulting in a live lp that was issued without their knowledge. It now goes for a few hundred bucks.
