Scott's well known as a 30s bandleader & the silent architect of the Warner Bros. cartoon sound. Like James Brown, Buddy Rich & more, his perfectionism led him to demand greatly from musicians working under him, and Scott preferred the greater efficiency of robots to people. By the end of WWII, Scott's 40s tv orchestra job had left him with some money and the fear of an impending heart attack (which killed his brother & would eventually hit Scott himself in the mid-80s). So he ditched the band & just tinkered with the robots in his basement studio like a retiree. He formed a jingle company as a sideline for his whizbang sounds, & much of what's here are demos for his clients. He also fooled around on projects with the occasional tech geek, including Jim Henson, still a frizzy haired art kid who hadn't yet invented the Muppets. Hear Scott's many inventions, including the Clavioline, the Bass Line Generator, the Electronium, some early drum machines, & more.
